Twenty-four brave volunteers abseiled 100 feet down the front of The Harlequin Centre to raise money for charity this morning.
Following the success of last year’s firewalk members of the Radlett Round Table group decided to take on a steeper challenge.
Last year, the Round Table raised more than £14,000 for The Peace Hospice.
The volunteers were due to climb to the top of the shopping centre at 10am this morning, before lowering themselves down to the pavement below.
Chairman Steve Braden said: “Many of us, myself included, are absolutely terrified of heights and haven’t done anything like this before – so it’s a real challenge. “But we’re all really motivated by the excellent cause we’re raising money for.”
