Hornets legend Graham Taylor was on hand to cut the ribbon and officially open Watford General's brand new Occupational Therapy department yesterday.
The Watford FC director popped into the Vicarage Road hospital, where he was joined by staff to celebrate the opening.
The department and office accommodation have been upgraded and redesigned for both the occupational therapy and physiotherapy staff.
Health bosses say the refurbishments reflect the new multi-disciplinary team structure, where each expert can be based with their teams.
The unit was re-designed to following the opening of the new Acute Assessment Unit (AAU) at Watford General Hospital and the transfer of acute in patient services to the Watford site in March 2009.
The service includes occupational therapists, physiotherapists, dietetics and speech and language therapists, who all provide care in Watford General's new AAU as well as on the wards.
