Light up the room with these shiny numbers with the trend that will transcend well into autumn.
1. This disco ball of a sequined skirt is great for a summer night out. As the rows of sequins are diagonal, it has a widening effect so is better for slimmer girls. The skirt makes a bold enough statement alone so tone down the outfit by wearing a plain top and a small necklace. When caring for the skirt, hand wash carefully to avoid losing any sequins.
2. This flapper inspired Primark dress is perfect for pear shapes as the fringing gets darker as it goes down, which balances out the top. The heavy fringing cleverly hides a multitude of sins. You can roll this dress up in your suitcase as it can’t be ironed. 3. This skirt is a more subtle nod at the flapper trend compared to the dress. The metallic blue colour suits virtually all skin tones and can be worn with bare legs in summer or black tights in winter. And, at only £5 from Primark, how can you say no?
4. This gorgeous strap top has an amazing discount from £70 to £28. It is worth checking out the new French Connection Outlet store in the Harlequin (where French Connection used to be) as many of the items are only a season old and less than half the RRP. The delicate spaghetti straps, black sequins and beading create a sophisticated look.
5. This bronze French connection strapless dress is oozing with sex appeal. The large bow on the hip is an amazing form of detailing which is not usually shared with the high street. For a different look, there are attachable straps. The reflective shine is very slimming.
6. This Oasis dress has been reduced from £80 to £50 so won’t be in the Harlequin for long. The silhouette is flattering and the adjustable belt highlights a small waist. The shiny peach fabric drapes beautifully.
7. This Miso studded cris cross dress can be found in Republic. The dress fastens with a concealed zip at the back. Rochelle, Frankie and Mollie from The Saturdays used studs in their dresses for Rare but Republic have this version at nearly half the price.
