A programme to "empower" Watford's Muslim women is being backed by Watford Borough Council.
The empowerment programme will be run at the Multi-Cultural Community Centre in Durban Road on Monday (August 17), which will be hosted by Mayor Dorothy Thornhill.
The event will also feed back on progress made since the previous Muslim women community event in 2008 and will include details of leadership training opportunities.
The event will start at 11.30am, refreshments and lunch will be provided.
