SUPPORT is being sought for a number of fundraising events designed to generate money for the management transfer of Watersmeet Theatre to Watersmeet Trust Ltd (WTL).
The handover will take place in April and WTL has organised a number of events to raise the revenue necessary for developing, improving and operating the theatre expected to be £150,000.
To help with this, staff from Watersmeet will be used to sell tickets in advance of the April handover date.
The first charity event will be a performance by the Top Brass Jazz Orchestra on Saturday, February 7, at 8pm.
The group play easy listening jazz and tickets cost £10 from the box office (01923 771542).
Later in the month, residents will be able to support Watersmeet by attending or helping with an Auction of Promises.
This takes place on Saturday, February 28, at 7.30pm, with tickets costing £6 including wine and cheese.
Local shops and services have contributed to the auction items. Tickets are again available from the box office.
Following this will be a charity golf day at Moor Park Golf Club on Monday, April 5.
