Richard Harrington, prospective MP for Watford has added his congratulations to the many young people who received their A and AS-level results.
Mr Harrington said: “The results that these students have received are testimony to their hard work during their studies as well as the continuing excellence of schools in our area.
“Many of the young people who took part in our work experience programme have been in touch with us, informing me of their fantastic successes."
Mr Harrington hopes the results will allow youngsters to follow their desired paths, be it getting a university place or starting a career.
However, he said: "In the current economic climate getting a job may prove more difficult than getting a university place, despite the shortage of places."
