A Rickmansworth post office has closed suddenly following an internal audit.
The post office, based at 64 High Street, in Rickmansworth, closed for business on Thursday morning.
The branch, which in based at the rear of the Mace newsagents, in the town centre, has not opened for business today.
A Post Office spokesperson told the Watford Observer today: "We are working hard to restore service to our customers as quickly as possible and we apologise for the inconvenience.
“We can confirm that the post offices were closed following an audit."
