Richard Harrington, the Conservative prospective parliamentary candidate for Watford, will host the first in a series of public meetings next week.
Residents are invited to attend the open forums, which will take place at various locations across the town each month, to ask him questions on any subject.
He said: “I am holding these meetings to give the people of Watford a chance to voice their opinions and concerns. I feel it is vital that there is a forum for open discussion on issues that are important to local people.
“I do not shy away from facing the public and I feel that the people of Watford deserve a chance to ask direct questions of their candidates, something they have not had the chance to do before.
“For too long the decisions and opinions of politicians have been hidden. I would like to hear what the people of Watford have to say and be able to answer their questions directly.”
The first meeting takes place at 7.30pm on Thursday, September 24, at St Peter's Church, Westfield Avenue, Watford.
