Abbots Langley Tough Ten annual race set for this Sunday

Running enthusiasts grab your sports shoes this Sunday, for the annual Abbots Langley Tough Ten race.

With special guest Watford and England manager Graham Taylor returning to open proceedings, it is not too late to join this year’s event, which has already received a record number of registrations.

Entry is still open to all, but runners hoping to apply on the day are encouraged to leave plenty of time for registration at the Community Centre, in the High Street, Abbots Langley.

The race, originally started to raise money for MENCOP 27 years ago, now also helps local clubs and charities continue their good work, assisting schools with special projects, as well as helping improve the quality of life for beneficiaries.

This year’s event will include two additional races, a 5k and 3k, with the minimum age for 3k starting at nine years old.

The 5k and 3k will commence at 10am and the 10k will start at 10.30 am.

Trophies and prizes will be presented at noon by Graham Taylor, culminating with an official opening of the new Community Centre.
