Watford was alive with Caribbean spirit last Friday at a school's festival of music and dance.
Central Primary School was host to a steel drum band and a parade of costumed pupils aged three to 11.
Sandeep Atwal, headteacher, said: “We wanted to celebrate our families' heritage, something different from either black history week or multi-cultural week.
“Lots of the children have been cooking, learning about the geography and literature of the Caribbean.”
A competition for best Key Stage One costume was won by Year One, and Year Three won the Key Stage Two contest.
