A locally-based entertainer and magician has won the right to call himself one of the country’s funniest public speakers.
Professional entertainer Rob Cox won the Hertfordshire and North West London Humorous Speech Contest at a St Albans Hotel last weekend.
The competition, organised by the Toastmasters International club, brought together speakers from across the region, with each vying for audience laughs on a wide range of subjects.
Mr Cox, of Borehamwood, is a member of the Watford Speakers Club, which meets twice a month and aims to improve people’s confidence in business and social situations.
He is also a senior member of the prestigious Magic Circle.
