Residents of the Meriden Estate will have access to a new doctors’ surgery next week.
The new Meriden Surgery, in Harvest End, will open on Wednesday, November 4, at 9am.
Built on the site of the old Meriden Primary School, the new premises will replace the existing clinic in Butterwick – a facility the West Hertfordshire Primary Care trust describes as “inadequate.”
It will offer a range of additional services, dealing with smoking, family planning, immunisation, and weight management programmes.
GP Dr Simon McCann said: "The new building is looking wonderful and will be a much better environment for patients who visit and the staff that work there. We are really looking forward to moving in and welcoming our first patients.”
