Adults and children have turned out in force over the October half-term for the ever popular Family Learning Festival.

More than 100 adults and children attended the free, two-day event, held at Kings Langley secondary school’s Specialist Art College, which started on Monday and finished today.

Families were taught how to make cards, djembe and samba drum and paint silks among other things, with resources and teaching supplied to the community by the Specialist Arts College, now in its second year.

School spokeswoman Tracey Middleton said: “Participants left the school armed with new skills learnt in an informal and enjoyable atmosphere.

“We really look forward to the event being held again next year.”
