Seven schools from across South Oxhey and Carpenders Park will each be given the chance to plant a young tree in the New Year, it was decided last night.
Councillors and residents, gathered at Watford Rural Parish Council, in Oxhey Drive, last night agreed the scheme as part of a £2,000 community grant.
The area forum meeting, organised by Three Rivers District Council, decided to give the remainder of the money to nearby Northwick Day Centre, in Northwick Road.
