Residents can scrutinise Watford Borough Council's budget plans for 2010/11 at a presentation led by Mayor Dorothy Thornhill.

This will be the second year the Mayor has informed residents about the budget and some of the reasons behind the council's spending decisions.

Mayor Thornhill said: “Last year, the event was very lively and the feedback I had from those who attended was they learned a lot about our finances, where the council’s money comes from and how it is spent.

“It was really informative for me to hear people’s views and what I heard certainly helped me, and my Cabinet, make our final decision about the level of Council Tax we set for Watford Borough Council last year (just one per cent).”

Three sessions will take place at 11am, 2pm and 7pm on Thursday, November 26 in the council chamber at Watford Town Hall, in Rickmansworth Road.

To attend, email Kathryn Robson at kathryn.robson@watford.gov.uk or telephone 01923 278077 by Monday, November 23.
