More than £8,000 was raised by an memory walk held in Cassiobury Park.
Councillor Keith Crout, chairman of Watford Borough Council, told tonight's council meeting that the walk held on Sunday, September 20 raised £8,500 for the Alzheimer's Society, one of his nominated charities.
He also thanked his colleagues for helping him to raise personal donations of £350.
