An oven shop in Radlett has decided to support a children's charity by holding special cookery day on Saturday, November 28.

The free event is open to all the family and will be raising money for the Place2Be charity.

Visitors to the Aga shop in Battler's Green Farm will be able to pick up tips on how to prepare quick dinners, one-pot meals and dishes that can be cooked in advance.

Laura James, author of the children’s book Tigger on the Couch, said: “The Place2Be is an amazing charity, I urge everyone to come along to our cookery day and learn about their amazing work.”

Since 1994 The Place2Be works inside schools to improve the emotional wellbeing of children, their families and the whole school community.

The Place2Be gives children them the chance to grow up without worries such as friendships, bereavement, domestic violence, gang culture or crime.
