A five-week “deep clean” of roads in the Callowland area of Watford has been completed.
Watford Borough Council and Hertfordshire County Council carried out street cleaning and highway repairs in 18 roads where the volume of parked cars has prevented such schemes in the past.
Mayor Dorothy Thornhill said: “This initiative gives our communities a real boost and also encourages all residents to keep their neighbourhood clean and rubbish free.
“Once again the majority of responsible residents heeded our publicity and moved their vehicles as instructed on the morning of any relevant road closures and I wish to thank them for this.”
