Staff from Jury's Inn in Watford clear litter from Cassiobury Park

Staff from a Watford hotel showed their greener side when they helped remove litter from Cassiobury Park.

A team of six employees from Jury's Inn, in Clarendon Road, cleared rubbish along the banks of the River Gade, which runs through the park.

They were led by Ian Mather, Watford Borough Council's conservation and development officer, during the event on Monday, November 16.

Mayor Dorothy Thornhill said: “I am always gladdened to see organisations such as this taking their corporate responsibility to their local environment seriously.

“The team from Jury’s Inn worked really hard and collected lots of black bags of rubbish from along the river bank. I hope that they enjoyed their work and consider undertaking some more nature conservation work with us in the future.”
