Drivers of BMW vehicles are being targeted by thieves according to West Hertfordshire police.
Sergeant Neil Canning, from the Abbots Langley police, has described how owners have found their expensive cars on pile of bricks, after their wheels have been stolen.
He said: “We’ve received reports that BMWs are being targeted for their alloys.
“These crimes are being carried out, made to order, and it is an emerging problem across West Hertfordshire, including, but not exclusively, Abbots Langley.
“We would advise drivers to ensure that the wheel nuts on their cars are properly tightened and cars are secured in the evenings with wheel locks.”
