Parking restrictions in the Watford and Three Rivers areas will not be enforced on Christmas Day or Boxing Day, it has been announced.
Controlled parking zones are normally enforced six days a week, with motorists only allowed to park where they please on a Sunday.
Parking attendants, however, will not be patrolling the streets on Friday, December 25, (Christmas Day) or Saturday, December 26, (Boxing Day) – traditionally one of the busiest shopping days of the year.
Parking bays outside Vicarage Road Stadium will not be available on Boxing Day because of the Watford FC’s home game against Nottingham Forest.
Normal service will resume in Watford from Sunday, including New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
Three Rivers District Council will extend its grace period to Bank Holiday Monday (December 28) and New Year’s Day.
