A bar in north Watford is seeking donations to help raise money for the Armed Forces charity Help for Heroes.
The Dome Bar, in St Albans Road, will host a fundraising event on February 6 next year.
The evening will include a local DJ who is donating his fee, and a raffle for which the organisers are asking for donations.
Organiser Julie Bacon, whose son James is in the army, said: "It's surprising just how many kids from Watford are in the army. I think everyone must know someone that is."
The organisers are looking for practical donations. Local motorcycle dealer Avsco have already donated an MOT and a helmet to the raffle.
Anyone that wishes to donate can email Julie at juliebacon38@hotmail.com, or visit the Dome Bar, 417-421, St Albans Road, Watford.
