A 50-year-old woman has been airlifted to hospital after falling from a horse earlier in Chorleywood this afternoon.
The woman suffered injuries to her back and pelvis after the horse fell on her after she hit the ground.
Paramedics from Rickmansworth and Watford were called to Farm Road at 11.54am. The Hertfordshire Air Ambulance was also alerted to the incident.
Ambulance service representative Gary Sanderson said: "We believe the woman was injured falling from a horse, which then fell on top of her.
