The Watford Observer's Review of 2009 - May

Tragedy struck in May when mother-of-three Clare Kenneford, who had been missing from her Queen’s Road home for four weeks, was found dead.

Clare, 42, whose disappearance sparked a major police search and a national missing person’s appeal, vanished after visiting her boyfriend’s home in St Albans Road.

She was found dead on Tuesday, May 19th, submerged in water in Otterspool Lane.

Speaking ahead of a memorial service held in Clare’s memory, sister Stephanie Smith said: “Clare was just delightful. She was funny, caring and loving, she was mischievous and just the most delightful person.”
