October was the month when the front page story of the Watford Observer ended up in the Daily Mail, the Daily Mirror, the Guardian, The Sun, BBC and ITV.
Watford Borough Council sparked controversy when outraged parents were banned from attending two supervised adventure playgrounds
in town.
Mother-of-eight Jennifer Abbasi said: “It is a sad day when parents cannot be involved with the enjoyment of their children.”

- Tim Roney and Karen Puddifoot, two friends from Sarratt and Rickmansworth died off the coast of Vietnam. The pair were on a 13 month around the world charity cycle trip.
