Staff at a Garston church left gutted by a ferocious fire have celebrated its reopening.

Thirteen months ago, flames ripped through the home of the Seventh Day Adventist UK Church headquarters in St Albans Road.

But after a year of planning, building and working from temporary offices, members returned to Stanborough Park last Wednesday, December 16.

While the building project is not yet complete, 'phase three' is now set to begin to transform the part of the building most heavily damaged by the fire.

A foyer area, training rooms, board room and additional offices will be built in the next 40 weeks to provide the church and the community with a number of new facilities.
