Bushey and Oxhey scouts have received a donation from a Hertsmere Borough councillor as part of the Ward Improvement Initiative Scheme.
Councillor Brenda Batten donated £400 to the 18th Bushey and Oxhey Scout Group, from her £2,000 allocation, to buy new camping equipment.
She said: “Local scout groups provide such valuable opportunities for young people and can really help with lots of life skills. I was delighted to be able to support this.”
Bushey’s Mary Forsdyke Garden also benefitted as Bushey Heath councillors, Brenda Batten and Paul Morris, provided a new bird bath.
Councillor Morris said: "I hope the birdbath will attract lots of wildlife for people to enjoy and enhance the natural environment."
