Police officers will form a guard of honour to pay tribute to a Watford PCSO who has died after a long illness.
PCSO Carol Pengelly, 47, had served Rickmansworth for three years before joining the Watford town centre neighbourhood team three years ago.
A popular and friendly member of the team, based at King's Court, she was integral to Hertfordshire Constabulary's efforts to drive down purse dipping in Watford town centre and did lots of work helping to reduce crime levels at night.
She was also a regular visitor to Watford Market, in Charter Place.
However, the mother-of-two, who lived in Watford, passed away last Sunday, January 31 after being off work for several months through illness.
Family, friends and colleagues will remember PCSO Pengelly at a funeral service to be held tomorrow (Tuesday) at West Herts Crematorium.
See this week's Watford Observer to read tributes to PCSO Pengelly.
