Residents' help requested for local conservation projects with Watford Borough Council


Residents have been invited to join in with council conservation projects to protect their local environment.

Watford Borough Council’s nature conservation programme, running on dates throughout the month, invites adults and accompanied children to chop, lop, cut and tidy in a range of scenic locations.

The programme includes:

  • a spring clean at Albans Wood Nature Reserve, Saturday February 13, beginning at 10.30am
  • tree planting at the new King George V Nature Reserve, in West Watford, starting at 10.30am
  • a litter pick and bird box cleaning, Cassiobury Park, Saturday, February 20, 10am

No prior experience in necessary as expert tuition will be given.
