Dozens of “rough sleepers” will hope for a frost free evening when they camp out at Watford Football Club.
Vinvolved Herts is organising a sponsored sleep-out for more than 100 people to experience a taste of homelessness and raise money for the Watford and District YMCA.
As well as volunteer sleepers, who will hope to catch 20 winks in the Rookery End concourse at Vicarage Road Stadium, cafe assistants and stewards are also needed.
There will also be a Best Dressed Cardboard Box competition, with a hot water bottle for the winner, and musical entertainment.
Vinvolved Herts is managed by and based at Watford and District YMCA. It is the national youth volunteering programme for young people aged 16 to 25.
The event, named the Sleep Easy, will take place on Friday, February 26, from 7pm and breakfast will be served from 6am.
For more information and to sign up as a volunteer, telephone Mary Green, Youth Volunteering Development Manager at Watford and District YMCA, on 01923 353631 or 07989 502269.
