Kind-hearted owners of a Kings Langley fencing company are to donate a shed to a woman with autism.
Emma Sallo, 38 and Gary Johnson, 42, who operate IPS Fencing in Toms Lane, will give Amy Stevenson, 20, from Aldbury, near Berkhamsted, a shed so that she can store all her gardening and planting equipment.
Mother-of-one Mrs Sallo said: “We were approached by Amy’s carers, Lorna and Julie, at the end of last year and they asked us if we could help them by providing Amy with a place to keep her gardening tools and an area to grow plants.
“They explained how much she likes to use her hands and gets really excited about growing her own vegetables.
“We couldn’t wait to help and hope that she will enjoy using the shed.”
This Friday, the company will deliver the six by four foot shed and base to Berkhamsted allotments, where Miss Stevenson gardens.
