Schoolchildren in Bushey will be able to play outside with a range of new equipment, after receiving a grant of £1,000 from a Hertfordshire County Councillor.
Seamus Quilty, for Bushey South, allocated the grant to Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School, in Merry Hill Road, from his locality budget.
Headteacher Rita Cooper said: “We were thrilled to receive the grant.”
The funding will pay for an outdoor sandpit, sand and water trays to be used by all of the infant classes.
Seamus Quilty said: “The new play equipment will enhance the children’s outdoor play experience, and encourage them to enjoy spending time outdoors. I was pleased to offer a helping hand to the school.”
