Sarratt youth club awarded grant by Hertfordshire County Council

A youth club in Sarratt has been awarded a grant by a Hertfordshire County Councillor to help improve facilities.

Sarratt Youth Club holds its meetings at Sarratt Village Hall in The Green, and offers a number of activities including indoor sports and games for local teenagers aged between 13 and 19.

Conservative county councillor Chris Hayward has allocated £500 from his locality budget to help pay for improvements to facilities at the premises.

Locality budgets were launched in July and a total of £10,000 is available to each of the 77 members of Hertfordshire County Council to spend on worthwhile community projects in their area.

Councillor Hayward said: “The Sarratt Youth Club is a great asset, so I am very pleased to help the club with improvements to the facilities it can offer.”

Sam Lee, project member, said: “[Sarratt Youth Club] is a really good way to meet people in a friendly environment.”

Well done, our CC S Drury gave £1k to Croxley Green Parish Council even though his four TRDC lib/dem mates on the council voted for no payment from TRDC which could have been £15k annually to cut the green!
