Google Street View to expand Hertfordshire coverage

Curious internet users around the world will be able to take a virtual tour of most of the county’s streets when an extension of Google Street View is launched tomorrow.

In March last year millions of internet users were granted access to views of homes, offices, cars and pedestrians, in most of the central Watford area.

Although most of the Watford Observer readership area is already available to view on line, many streets in the North Watford and Abbots Langley areas remain uncovered.

Google, which has courted controversy among privacy campaigners with its Street View Project, will launch an extension to the project tomorrow – granting access to most public roads in the country.
