Musical melodies thrilled the residents of a Watford care home when a guitar-playing duo performed as part of a Music in Hospitals programme.
Jim Dawson and Llew Osbourne played for an hour when they visited Hampermill, the dementia unit at Bupa's River Court Nursing Home, in Explorer Drive, on Monday.
Robert Batley, activities organiser, said: “It was very good. The residents really appreciated it. They really enjoyed it.
“They were so happy. A lot of relatives were there and said how good they were. A lot of them were singing along and it makes them more alert than just being sat in a chair doing the same routine every day.”
