Police are hunting for a missing man from Watford.

Mahmood Ahmad, 41, was last seen leaving the Lahore Kebab House, in Umberston Street, Aldgate, in the early hours of Sunday, March 7.

He was seen driving away from the business, where he works, in his black Citroen C2.

The car (registration number MW08 XSN) has now been recovered but detectives are particularly keen to trace its movements since Sunday.

Mr Ahmad has links to Ilford, London, and to the Glasgow and Stirling areas of Scotland. Detective Chief Inspector Melanie Burn said: “This is totally out of character and we are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare with every hour that passes.

“I would urge anyone with any information at all, no matter how small or insignificant they may think it is, to contact police immediately.”

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 01707 355798 or Crimestoppers, in confidence, on 0800 555 111.
