Dropped kerb parkers to be fined by Three Rivers District Council

Drivers who park in front of people’s driveways will be fined by a council from Monday, March 15.

Following a recent change in the law, Three Rivers District Council will begin issuing fines to motorists who park next to a dropped kerb in the district and block either vehicle or pedestrian access.

The move comes after an increase in complaints from residents.

Drivers, however, will only be fined for blocking access to a driveway if the infringement is reported by the home owner to the council’s contractor on 01908 223 506.

This will prevent tickets being issue to guests with parking permission.
