Staff from a pub in Abbots Langley are to show their sporting prowess by taking part in a sponsored 12-hour walkathon, in a bid to raise money for charity.

Pop along to The Swan in College Road and see the bartenders put through their paces as they take it in turns to walk on a treadmill in the pub.

Held on Friday, March 19, from 12pm to 12am, visitors are asked to guess the distance walked at 50p-a-go and a prize of a meal for two at the pub will be awarded to the correct guess.

A raffle with prizes including a signed Lawrence Dallaglio rugby shirt, ball and autobiography will also be up for grabs. Tickets are currently on sale at the pub for £1.

All proceeds raised from the day will go to Sport Relief, spent by organisation Comic Relief, to help disadvantaged people across the globe turn their lives around.
