An Aldenham man pleaded guilty to benefit fraud at Watford Magistrates' Court last week.
Dean Rodwell, from Winfield Mobile Home Park, in Hartspring Lane, was ordered to repay £2,073 of housing and council tax benefit he fraudulently claimed.
He failed to inform Hertsmere Borough Council he had found employment and continued to collect the benefit money.
Rodwell, 43, was additionally fined £1,000 and ordered to pay the council's costs of £451.61.
