Students at Francis Combe Academy made the news last week, as they played a starring role in the production of BBC2's Newsnight.
More than 70 teenagers took their chance in front and behind the bowler as the Academy, in Horseshoe Lane, took part in the BBC School News Report scheme, to make a film about the travelling habits of staff and students.
The cameras then turned on the students when the BBC interviewed them before a special education-themed edition of Newsnight last Wednesday.
Sixth Form pupil Harjit Hullait said: “It was a really good experience, especially after working on our news reporting project.“
Academy principal Nicky Williams added: “We were delighted to welcome the BBC to the academy last week. The students got a lot out of the visit and were more than happy to turn the tables on the programme makers themselves, asking lots of questions in order to find out more about what working in television entails.”
