Nissan's electric announcement 'secures Maple Cross jobs'

An announcement by a Japanese car maker that it plans to produce a new electric vehicle in the UK will safeguard about 200 jobs in Maple Cross, it has been claimed.
Nissan announced today that its Leaf electric car would be built at its plant in Sunderland, after financial incentives were promised by the Government.
The Labour Party claims that the decision has helped to secure sales and marketing jobs at Nissan’s offices in Denham Way.
