The wife of a missing Watford man whose severed thumb was found last week has appealed for his release.
Mahmood Ahmad, 41, has not been seen since leaving work at an Aldgate kebab house on Sunday, March 7.
His thumb was found three days later in Ilford.
Wife Farah told the BBC yesterday: “He's obviously injured. He urgently needs medical attention and I would just plead - please just leave him."
Her husband, she added, “would never hurt anybody.”
A 33-year-old homeless man has been charged by police with kidnap and false imprisonment. Four other people have been released on bail.
