Staff at an Abbots Langley pub were hoping to walk a collective 500 miles for charity last Friday.
The 12 hour walk at The Swan, on College Road, took place on a treadmill between noon and midnight to raise money for BBC Sports Relief.
James Davies, manager of the pub, said: “I had the treadmill upstairs so I brought it down and now we're all having a go. Everybody is doing an hour each, but I've got to do two for some reason. It would be good if we could do 6-700 kilometres in total."
A raffle was also held, with prizes including a rugby shirt and ball signed by England and London Wasps legend Lawrence Dallaglio. A competition to guess the total distance was also held.
Barman Martin King, who had the afternoon stint on the treadmill, said: “I've been on 40 mins so far, it's ok, I'm just glad it's not running.”
