A free healthy lifestyle course for children will begin in Abbots Langley next month.

The MEND (Mind, Exercise, Nutrition, Do it!) programme aims to help young people aged seven to 13 become fitter, healthier and happier during the ten-week after-school sessions at The Woodlands Centre, in College Road.

Kate Oldershaw, MEND's regional manager for Watford, said: “The MEND programme is a fun way for children above a healthy weight to get fit and healthy and improve their self-esteem.

“We offer a safe and non-judgemental environment for families to learn how to make healthy choices and become more active.”

For more information or to register for the MEND programme, telephone 0800 230 0263, email info@mendcentral.org, or visit www.mendcentral.org.
