THE children's ward at Princess Alexandra Hospital is to benefit from £6,000 worth of new equipment thanks to the generosity of staff at Harlow-based Raytheon Systems.
The money was raised at the company's children's charity fun day last August and has been used to buy five fold-away parent beds, a Dinamap machine to monitor blood pressure, pulse, temperature, oxygen levels and heart rate, and a hand-held oxymeter which will be able to measures oxygen saturation levels.
Raytheon managing director Bob McIntyre said: "As a major employer in the Harlow area we're always pleased to contribute to the community.
"The delivery of this important medical equipment and the invaluable fold-away beds marks the success of our staff's impressive efforts."
