The Lionhearts looked to maintain their 100 per cent Pee Wee league record against Dacorum Wildcards at the weekend.

Lionhearts scored at the two minute mark when Thomas Sexton neatly slotted home from close range. The half time pep talk worked as the Lionhearts finally scored the goals their hard work deserved. First Josh Silvester skated round two defenders and crossed for Scott Nuckley to calmly beat the keeper. Then Ollie Caplan won the ball behind the Wildcards net before skating out front and roofing a classy goal over the keeper's shoulder. But the Lionhearts took their foot off the gas and were punished when Wildcards scored following a Lionhearts defensive error. Wildcards then scored another when they broke unchallenged through the defence. Tom Oakley was in the right place to tuck home a stylish goal which gave the Wildcards' keeper no chance. This was not the end of the nerves for the Lionhearts' supporters as once again a defensive slip saw the Wildcards bring the score to 4-3 with two minutes remaining.

Saracens were also looking to maintain their 100 per cent league record despite missing two of their more experienced players. The opening Saracens' goal came when Jaydean George fired in a low slapshot which captain Tom Dickinson followed in and slotted home the rebound. Saracens' second was a clever move by Liam Robertson as he slammed home at the near post. Dunstable then scored against the run of play. Saracen's keeper Kella Kapnisi performed a remarkable double save when deserted by the defence but even she was powerless to prevent Dunstable pulling level moments later. But Jaydean George then opened his account and this was quickly followed by a Josh Caplan wrap around. Dunstable picked up a goal as the first period ended with the score 4-3.

Ross Sin-Hidge showed his class as he one-timed it low into the corner. Tom Dickinson scored the next, cheekily chipping over an out-stretched keeper. Further goals for Jay and Josh saw the second period end 8-3.

Saracens were in complete control of the final period. Tom Avery showed his goal poaching prowess as tapped in following a neat move with Jaydean. Dunstable were to score two goals as the Saracens eased off. But an own goal and further goals from Jaydean, Josh and Tom Avery ended the contest.

Facing bigger and more physical opponents, Saints battled hard throughout the first period and constantly looked to attack but the first period finished goalless.

However tiredness and inexperience saw the Saints give away two quick goals. Saints continued to battle for every ball and were rewarded when Luke Tyler scored. Wildcards had restored their two goal advantage when Ross Bennett blasted home an unstoppable one-timer to bring the score to 2-3 at the end of the second period.

Wildcards were awarded a controversial goal when the ball had been kicked in. As the Saints pushed for goals, Wildcards scored the last goal of the game.
