Presumably Councillor Kath McGuirk was attempting wit when she said a Labour council would let residents decide if they want to keep their roads safe. Firstly, all your readers are not so stupid that they imagine anyone is anti-safety however, many of us feel humps are a very bad way of trying to improve safety. Secondly, the previous Labour council was woeful at consulting residents when they put these things in possibly even worse than the Conservatives.
