Even if it were true, it would be cheap and petty of Andrew Dismore MP to object to the Mayor of Barnet opening the new Edgware Community Hospital on the party political grounds that she's a Tory who as Dismore puts it did not put her head above the parapet' in support of the Edgware General Hospital.
Before she became Mayor, Joan Scannell did put her head above the parapet', and she worked tirelessly to support Edgware General Hospital. On the Community Health Council, Joan Scannell proposed a motion calling for Edgware's A&E department to be retained, as well as motions on the council.
Instead of making spiteful and inaccurate jibes against Barnet's Mayor, it would be better if Mr Dismore were to use his position to achieve some results for his constituents
