MY family lived in Watford until just before the First World War and my father was just a small boy before they emigrated to Canada.
I have been to Watford to visit and was very impressed with it. I have been researching my ancestry and have found I have a lot of relatives from Herts and around Watford, St Albans, Redbourn, Abbots Langley. etc, with family names-Flint, Dollimore, Perry, Eames.
It would be interesting to hear from any of The Watford Observer's readers who may have these surnames and to exchange information with them.
I also hope to be able to visit the Watford area again sometime, as I find the people so friendly and the area so steeped in history. Hope to hear from some of those friendly folks.
