HARVESTERS sealed the League and Cup double with an impressive performance against Evergreen.
The game was played in a swirling wind, and in the first-half Harvesters were happy to contain Evergreen with some excellent defending.
In the second-half, Harvesters pushed on and superb work by the irrepressible Dominic Easter set up Martin Henry for the opener. Then the excellent Piers Lawford set up Easter for a well deserved second goal.
This was yet another disciplined performance by the squad that has consistently produced the goods throughout the season.
Next week, the lads will be in action in the Challenge Cup Final against Omonia when they go for the third leg of an unprecedented treble.
The previous Tuesday, Harvesters clinched the league title with a hard earned 2-0 win at Omonia.
It has taken six seasons for the squad to climb to the top and it was fitting that the goals came from two of the original Under-8's. A superb Calum Chittenden free-kick and skipper Harry Cunningham's header sealed a fantastic season for the squad.
